Job Description
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established, expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new field-based forklift service engineer to service their client base across the North West. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift engineer or an individual from another background interested in a new role.
Responsibilities
1. Servicing a client base across the North West areas with a focus on servicing a fleet of forklift trucks
2. Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
3. Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
4. Developing a knowledge of the company’s customer base and representing the company appropriately when attending customer sites
5. Attending the workshop from time to time and occasionally working on call
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in engineering within the Material Handling industry, but this is not essential. They would also be open to candidates with backgrounds in Agriculture, Construction, Commercial Vehicles, or Automotive.
The company prefers candidates with a strong understanding of hydraulics and the ability to work independently. The role is based in the North West, as most customers are located in this region, with some requirements further afield.
