A day in the life.
As a Lead Application Developer on the MMA Application Development team, you’ll head a team of developers in designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging applications that are vital to our organization and enhance our client’s experience. You will mentor and teach other developers, promote MMA technology standards, and oversee the software development life cycle. Through servant leadership, you will manage a team capable of handling complex projects and delivering high-quality products.

We’d love to meet you if your professional background includes:
• Proven ability to lead an innovative, motivated Custom Application Development Team to enhance business through collaboration, innovation, creative solutioning, and delivery excellence.
• Successful track record of delivering highly scalable digital products while managing complex, urgent, and technically challenging issues.
• Experience in designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications within coding standards and best practices.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders including project teams, analysts, product owners, scrum-masters, developers, and testers.
• 10+ years of experience with at least 2+ years in leadership roles, delivering scalable digital products.
• Hands-on experience with:
o Complex software delivery in an Agile environment.
o Building distributed systems based on microservices architecture.
o Object-oriented programming with languages such as C#, .NET, Blazor, SQL, NoSQL, IIS.
o API management systems like Apigee and Informatica, REST API design.
o Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
o Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
o CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, JFrog.
o Monitoring system performance and optimization.
o Managing Agile development using Scrum.
• Interest in emerging technologies like Open Source, UI, AI, etc.
Additional qualifications (not required):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of insurance or finance industries.
