The Role

We are actively seeking an experienced Credit Controller with at least 2 years experience in this field. The ideal candidate will be highly organised and able to communicate effectively and professionally with our clients and their co-workers.
The successful candidate will work as part of our Finance Team and will be based at our East Office Location in Whitburn, West Lothian.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
· Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors.
· Ensuring customers make payment within agreed payment terms.
· Generating monthly statements, first letters and final demands and ensuring these are checked and sent out within the agreed timescale.
· Dealing with customers professionally by phone, letter, and e-mail.
· Passing accounts for external debt collection when necessary.
· Maintain accurate records of all activity.
· Taking card payments over the phone.
· Setting up payment plans when required.
Candidate Specification
Full training will be provided; however, the successful candidate is required to have the following attributes:
· Experience of working in a similar Accounts Administrator or Credit Control role.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
· Professional Telephone Manner.
· Good Numeracy and accurate Data Entry Skills.
· Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written).
· Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others.
· Exceptional organisational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritise effectively, perform under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
· Positive attitude.
· Commitment to deliver to meet the needs of the business.
Desirable Skills
· Experience of working with SAGE Accounts software, Sage 50 and Credit Hound
Before commencing employment, the successful candidate will be required to complete the company employee vetting procedure.
Hours
Monday – Friday each week
09:00-17:00hrs
