Job Duties of the Tooling Engineer:
* Strip, clean, service, and reassemble complex tools.
* Inspect newly set machines configurations and approve handover to production.
* Identify tooling issues and collaborate with machinists and external vendors to develop cost-effective repair solutions.
* Communicate effectively with planning, production, and other departments to resolve issues within agreed timeframes.
* Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex tooling problems.
* Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Skills and Experience required for the Tooling Engineer:
* Previous experience Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
* Strong knowledge of materials and processes.
* Experience using lathes, milling machines, and other toolmaking/repair equipment.
* CAD/CAM experience (advantageous)
* Competent using a wide range of tools and handling equipment.
* High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety.
* Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, etc.).
Additional Information for the Tooling Engineer:
* Monday to Friday.
* 08.30 - 17.00.
* Overtime available.
* Up to £42,000 Per Annum (DOE)
