We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered Pharmacy Technician, based at the St Albans City Hospital.

Main duties of the job
* To work as part of the pharmacy team in providing an efficient, effective and safe pharmaceutical service to patients and customers.
* To undertake a range of activities in the dispensary, including the preparation, dispensing and issuing of medicines (including clinical trial products and CDs) in response to prescriptions or requisitions.
* To provide a range of clinical and ward services under the direction of the Lead Clinical Technician.
* To provide advice to ward staff, patients and carers on pharmaceutical matters within own competency.
* To assist the senior Dispensary staff in supervising, training and coaching of pharmacy support workers/student technicians in the dispensary and assist with the daily organisation.
Applicants must be self-motivated and organised. You will need to be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
