Pharmacy Assistant - Antrim Area Hospital
A great opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant (Band 2) to join the team at Antrim Area Hospital. Working under the supervision of Senior Assistants, Technicians and Pharmacists, this role will support the efficient and accurate supply of drugs, medical items and surgical supplies to meet the needs of patients and clinical staff.
About the role:
* £12.71 per hour
* Antrim Area Hospital
* Up to 37.5 hours per week across a 7-day rota including shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Immediate start available for up to 6 months initially

What you'll be doing:
* Receiving, checking and shelving pharmacy stock in line with departmental procedures
* Accurately receipting delivery documentation onto the EPIC system
* Supporting ward stock top-up services and stock rotation management
* Assembling and issuing ward orders and requisitions through the EPIC pharmacy system
* Preparing and supplying IV fluids and procedure pack orders
* Supporting the wider pharmacy team with additional duties as required
What you'll need:
* 5 GCSEs including English and Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent)
* OR NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff, or equivalent qualification
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Basic numeracy and computer literacy skills
* The successful candidate may be required to complete the Pearson Level 2 Certificate in The Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff through South Eastern Regional College.
* As part of the vetting process, a Standard AccessNI Disclosure will be required. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a barrier to employment.
