Role Details:
The Senior Project Manager is a key role and will be responsible for leading delivery of the project works design & build packages under the NEC4 form of contract.
Experience in delivering highly complex programmes >£500m is desirable.
The packages of work vary in complexity and will include piling, civils, structural and M&E. The Senior Project Manager will be supported by project management, engineering and project controls teams who have the same focus as them.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide safety, project and commercial leadership to their assigned project managers and wider team
* To lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver benefits to the client.
* Provide strong communication skills to enable engagement with a wide range of Stakeholders.
* Negotiating a way through conflict.
* Procurement of assigned packages of work via Framework Delivery Partners.
* Delivery of assigned packages of work as per the NEC4 contract conditions.
* Cost and schedule performance of assigned work packages.
* Risk management.
* Line management of assigned project managers.
Requirements:
Essential
* Available to split time between site & office, as required for the role
* Active SC clearance or the ability to gain SC clearance.
* Engineering design and construction experience in a marine environment.
* NEC4 Experience with NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation
* Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a project as a Senior Project Manager in a regulated industry (preferably nuclear).
* Full lifecycle experience from design, implementation, commissioning & handover.
* Experience of change control.
* Experience of risk management.
* Minimum HND in a related engineering/construction/project management discipline.
Desirable
* Association for Project Management ChPP, or other Chartership from a related discipline.
* Degree in a related engineering/construction/project management discipline.
* CEMAR experience.
* Working within a Nuclear Infrastructure environment
