Job Description
We are looking for an Area Sales Engineer to cover the UK Western Region, M6 & M4 corridor. This is a home-based role requiring regular travel within the territory, with occasional overnight stays.As an Area Sales Engineer, you will:
3. Promote, specify, and sell technical products across various industries:
4. Manage both direct sales and specialist distributor relationships
5. Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve sales targets
6. Support and grow existing customer accounts
7. Work on projects from specification through to sales conversion
8. Collaborate with colleagues to manage cross-territory projects efficiently
9. Use our CRM system to log activities and plan sales strategies
10. Report weekly to the Country Sales Manager, UK & Ireland
The Successful Applicant
The Area Sales Engineer will have:
11. Track record in B2B industrial sales, preferably within manufactured industrial equipment and business development through specification
12. Industry Knowledge: Proven track record of working with any of the following coupled with distribution - end-users, EPCs, OEMs, M&E consultants, and system integrators
13. Sales Skills: Strong ability to manage relationships, identify opportunities, and close deals
14. CRM Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM tools for planning and reporting
15. Personal Attributes: Motivated, customer-focused, proactive, reliable, and patient
