Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Facilities Assistant located in Hampshire. The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of facility management, including maintaining the premises, performing janitorial services, and assisting with various facilities operations. The role includes ensuring the school environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained. Additional tasks may include supporting event setups, handling minor repairs, and responding to facility-related inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities
* Assist with general maintenance on the school site, e.g. replacing light bulbs, cleaning gutters, unblocking drains, and cleaning windows
* Assist with general repairs as required
* Assist with larger maintenance projects, e.g. decorating the school, refurbishment of areas
* Help set up and clear away areas booked for internal and external events such as examinations, parents' evenings, concerts
* Report any defect to the Head of Estates and Facilities
* Participate in staff programmes for training, in particular safeguarding and Health and Safety
* Promote the good work of the school in the wider community
Qualifications
