Join our newly created team as a Technical Sales and Application Specialist.

We are looking for a Technical Sales and Application Specialist for a Cell and Gene Therapy platform at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to clients related to a cell and gene therapy platform across academia and biopharma industry, ensuring that we maintain strong customer relationships and provide the best possible application support.

You will be joining a newly created team, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.

This position is available full-time on a permanent basis. It’s a hybrid role with initial expectations to be in the Royston office to be supporting product development. Once field based your territory will cover UK and Europe. You will ideally be located close to an international airport and close to the Golden Triangle: Oxford, London and Cambridge with occasional travel to the Royston office.

* Communicate value propositions tailoring where needed based on client needs
* Build intimate knowledge of customers, manufacturing and quality control operations: troubleshooting, offering potential improvements and support.
* Perform product demonstrations, evaluations, and validations alongside your client
* Work with internal stakeholders to address, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with a sense of urgency and ownership, providing the level of service you would be happy to receive
* Provide training and promote best practices to biotech and cell therapy labs
* Become an extension of your client’s team to enable them to reach their experimental, development, manufacturing, or QC goals
* Provide the business development team with opportunities to grow accounts into synergized offerings
* Document your experiences through our CRM (Salesforce)
* Participate in conferences to learn new methods, promote products and meet clients
* Work hand-in-hand with your client to validate new analytical methods with scientific justification

What Will Convince Us

* Master’s or PhD in Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry or relevant field
* Experience working in blood transfusion medical laboratory or research laboratories in academia or biotechnology industry focusing on cell and gene therapies
* Experience in following GMP/GLP regulations
* Sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry related to equipment would be beneficial
* Experience in training others would be beneficial
* Experience of collaborating and supporting sales teams/product launches
* Strong customer focus with great communication skills
* Highly organised and capable of planning own schedule
* Have excellent record management skills, use of CRM would be beneficial
* Team player, able to interact with people across different functions internationally, whilst being comfortable working independently
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve technical issues
* Demonstrate the ability to present data, findings, and recommendations to customers
* Willingness to travel up to 70%
