Building Services Manager
Major Industrial / Advanced Manufacturing Project – South West
We are recruiting a Building Services Manager to join the delivery team on a large, complex industrial development involving extensive MEP systems and a demanding commissioning and handover programme. Reporting to the Project Building Services Lead, you will take responsibility for the commissioning management, integration and successful delivery of all MEP packages, from early construction through to final client handover.
This role is central to ensuring building services are installed, tested and commissioned to the highest standards, fully compliant with industry guidance and aligned with CIBSE Code M.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the commissioning programme, ensuring all systems are tested, validated and signed off in line with project requirements.

Chair regular commissioning and MEP coordination meetings, driving progress and resolving issues quickly.

Review subcontractor commissioning plans, drawings and technical submissions for compliance, buildability and integration.

Coordinate ME&PH commissioning activities with wider construction teams to maintain programme certainty.

Ensure installations meet required quality levels and comply with legislation, industry standards and project‑specific criteria (e.g., BREEAM, CIBSE, BSRIA).

Support design resolution, technical queries and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
*
Proven experience in commissioning management on complex projects - ideally industrial, advanced manufacturing or clean‑room environments.
*
Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and building services engineering.
*
HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
*
Comfortable working in a digital construction environment, with experience of 3D modelling, BIM workflows and common data environments.
