* Utilizes clinical skills to perform patient evaluations involving assessment of range of motion, strength, function, posture, balance, coordination, etc.
* Assesses patient’s rehabilitation potential based on evaluation and the patient/family’s attitude toward rehabilitation.
* Establishes appropriate treatment goals with input from the patient and family, based on evaluation findings.
* Formulates and implements a plan of care to reach treatment goals, utilizing physical therapy techniques/procedures.
* Maintains medical records, with daily documentation of evaluations and treatments, and periodic reevaluations to modify treatment programs and goals accordingly.
* Provides education to patients, families, nurses, hospital staff, and the public on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and the role of physical therapy.
* Supervises, guides, and evaluates the performance of physical therapy assistants, aides, and students, as needed.
Education: Not specified. Experience Required: minimum 2 years in outpatient setting. Strong manual and vestibular skills preferred. Registration/Certification:
* Physical Therapy license.
* AHA BLS Certification.
