The role requires:
1. Knowledge/understanding of pediatric medicine (or, similar)
2. Commitment to complete 12 interviews of 90-minutes each and also spend time preparing for the sessions, uploading the audio recordings and scanning the author amends for the writer after the sessions
3. Ability to work as part of a virtual team and to agreed timescales
4. Ability to follow procedures and work to directed instructions from the team’s project manager
5. Good IT skills to be able to learn how to use a recording machine and scanner to specified settings and upload to our online database
6. Commitment to complete an online training, which covers the technical and soft skills required for the position
7. Living in close proximity to the author to allow for short travel times of less than 10 miles or 30 minutes
8. A desire to work with and build a relationship and life story with the author
9. Proven ability to structure a conversation to ensure all relevant information is obtained in a sensible order
10. An interest in social history and people’s stories, from the everyday to the exceptional
11. Active listening and strong verbal communication skills
12. Empathy, patience and an open manner
13. Open-minded and non-judgmental
14. Knowledge/understanding of pediatric medicine (or, similar)
