The role

:

Reporting to the Head of Centre of Excellence (CoE), accountable for the development and delivery of the total workforce strategy for the line of service (LoS). As a Workforce Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and challenging the conversation about future demand for skills and fostering a partnership with LoS Stakeholders and the Talent Acquisition delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of relevant LoS people strategic priorities.

Working closely with the People Director for the LoS, specialist CoE leads and the Talent Acquisition Delivery leads, the Workforce Strategy Specialist will take an advisory and insights-led approach to guide the business through their strategic workforce strategy, informing decisions around build, buy and borrow initiatives along with informing brand and EVP design. Working with the TA function to identify new talent marketplaces and shape business focused, inclusive and skills-based people solutions that help position the business for growth, innovation and impact.

What your days will look like:

1. Collaborate with LoS Executives to understand key growth initiatives and disruptions to work over a 5-year time horizon. Work with the People Directors on attraction, retentionand talent strategy direction, in line with the firm's Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) approach, ensuring the LoS continue to have the right people, at the right time in the right place.

2. Partner with the Strategic Workforce Planning CoE to review buy, build, bind, bounce and borrow options for each skills set within LoS, particularly during budget reviews. Review and validate SWP on a quarterly basis with LoS Leaders to ensure that people delivery activities remain relevant at all times and gap to future workforce are actively reduced. Manage stakeholder relationships across the LoS to tell and maintain a strong narrative around total workforce. Collaborate with the Resourcing Specialists and Workforce Strategy Specialist (SWP) CoE modelers to identify and validate skills gaps within the LoS, utilising data and insights to build models that define size, shape, and capability for the future workforce.

3. Effectively communicate the longer term LoS hiring demands (focusing on skills), promotion and development demands translating the future workforce needs of the business into people process.

4. Provide thought leadership and counsel to senior LoS leaders on all aspects of talent attraction, development and retention considerations in line with future workforce strategyand spearhead inclusive best practise processes across the LoS. This includes recommendations incorporating inclusion and diversity, timeline of activity, talent channels and routes to market supporting a skills based approach and working with respective colleagues in the other lines of service on targeted interventions.


This role is for you if:

5. You have proven experience in developing and leading workforce planning strategy in a business partner role within a large, complex organisation.

6. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing complex issues, handling multiple shifting priorities, and driving decisions and solutions aligned with agreed objectives. You have excellent strategic and critical thinking skills.

7. You demonstrate skills in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels, especially at the Partner level.

8. You focus on agreed objectives and deliverables, maintaining a continual awareness of commercial impacts. You have the ability to objectively assimilate complex data and information to inform recommendations.

9. You can work collaboratively within a team, showing resilience and delivering under pressure.
