Overview
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll ensure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to deliver unparalleled empathy for resident issues. The role is full time supernumerary.
Responsibilities
Provide specialist nursing support and advice.
Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence.
Supervise and coach colleagues to deliver high empathy for resident issues.
Ensure compliance with NMC code of practice and national standards.
Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and take action; attend safeguarding training and seek advice as required.
Qualifications
* Valid NMC PIN.
* Knowledge of National Standards and NMC code of practice.
* Background in person-centered care planning within a care home.
* Excellent communication skills; ability to manage time effectively and keep meaningful records.
* Positive, pleasant energy; natural ability to get along with people.
