Key Responsibilities Performance tuning of MySQL databases across a large on-premise estate.
Managing replication and HA, ensuring fast recovery and minimal downtime.
Proactive monitoring and optimisation.
Maintaining reliable backup and recovery procedures.
Collaborating with developers, analysts and the wider IT team on schema design and deployments.
Supporting infrastructure upgrades and patching programmes.
Candidate Profile Strong DBA in MySQL or MS SQL administration experience (performance tuning, HA, replication).
Confident with Linux/Unix (Red Hat preferred).
Comfortable in a busy on-premise environment.
Familiarity with monitoring and backup tools.
Desirable: SQL Server administration and storage optimisation experience.
