Your role in the story
During your watch you are responsible for the safe and efficient inspection as well asmaintenance of machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, accommodation, galley, deck and project related equipment and lifesaving equipment. You report defects and malfunctioning of systems, circuits, equipment and interrupt, without any hesitation, unsafe activities or conditions and report these. Furthermore, you assist during construction activities by operating the pile driving hammers, pile handling tools, compressors, pumps and cargo barge ballast systems. You keep the engine room book updated, perform toolboxes, ensure a proper job and shift handover. As a last you supervise the technical (fleet) personnel on watch as well as new technical personnel and trainees.

Is this the job for you?
This position requires an Engineer with a Bachelor Maritime degree (MAROF) or an equivalent maritime oriented technical Bachelor degree. You have 2 to 5 years of experience as Engineer on board of an offshore vessel, a Dynamic Positioning operated vessel is an advantage. As a person you possess proven leadership skills, a practical, problem solving, result oriented mindset and are a team player. Your command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is excellent.

Heerema has a5 weeks on / 5 weeks off working schedule but this may fluctuate due to the nature of our activities .
