We are looking for an enthusiastic ICT Technician to join our small and supportive ICT team. This role would suit a school or college leaver, someone looking for their first professional IT role, or anyone with a genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn. No two days are the same. You could be helping staff and students with technical issues, preparing and deploying equipment, maintaining classroom technology, supporting school events, or carrying out preventative maintenance to keep systems running smoothly. You do not need formal IT qualifications or previous professional experience. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, curiosity and willingness to get stuck in. What You'll Be Doing Providing day-to-day ICT support for staff, students and visitors Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues Installing, maintaining and upgrading computers, laptops, printers and classroom technology Carrying out routine preventative maintenance to reduce faults and downtime Supporting Microsoft 365 services and school software Assisting with network and infrastructure projects alongside senior team members Maintaining tidy, organised ICT workspaces and equipment stores Supporting school events and productions where technical assistance is required What We're Looking For An interest in technology and how things work A helpful and patient approach when supporting others Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliability, organisation and a strong work ethic A willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges Professional Development Throughout the year, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Windows, ChromeOS, macOS, Android, iOS, networking, classroom technology, AV systems and end-user support. As part of your development, you'll also have the opportunity to work towards an industry-recognised certification, such as Microsoft MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or CompTIA A, with exam funding provided by the school.
