Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, taking on a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
1. Maintaining and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers
2. Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments
3. Managing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow reporting
4. Supporting credit control and debt management efforts
5. Assisting with VAT returns, Intrastat, and RCT/CIS reporting
6. Preparing journals and contributing to monthly management accounts
7. Ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, applicants should hold an Accounting Technician qualification (such as ATI or AAT) or be a part-qualified accountant ( ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience in a finance role. Candidates must demonstrate a positive and proactive approach, alongside a high level of integrity and confidentiality. A strong willingness to learn and grow within the position is also essential, ensuring adaptability and continuous professional development.
