We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service and Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join one of Volvo’s retailers, Snows, Volvo Southampton. About this opportunity…
As a skilled technician, you will become part of a team of experts supporting one of our well-known retailers. Full manufacturer training is provided, so specific brand experience is not required. You will also receive ongoing training at Volvo’s training and development centre to keep you up to date with the latest technology.
As a Diagnostic Technician, you will perform a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner. The aim is to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.
Your day will include:
* Performing routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
* Undertaking air-conditioning system servicing and repairs.
* Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
* Ensuring that working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous.
* Diagnosing and undertaking general repairs to vehicles including MOT repairs.
* Performing diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults, providing reports on faults found.
* Carrying out welding repairs to vehicles.
* Obtaining estimates and ordering car parts in order to resolve the vehicle issues.
* Liaising with customers where appropriate updating them on the status of their vehicle checks.
Have you got what it takes...
* Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
* Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
* Highly skilled in fault diagnosis
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
* Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.

Working hours: 08.15 - 17.30 Monday - Friday
