Junior Sous Chef, Soho, London
A modern British restaurant and bar in Soho is looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join a friendly, skilled kitchen team.
You will cook with top-quality British produce and help lead service across lunch and dinner.
Role details
1. Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
2. Help run service and lead a section when needed
3. Manage prep and service standards across the kitchen
4. Train, guide, and support junior chefs on shift
5. Keep quality, consistency, and speed on point during busy services
6. Support ordering, stock rotation, and waste control
7. Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards
8. Modern British cooking led by seasonality, freshness, and creativity
9. Fresh food and scratch cooking
10. Team of around 6 people on shift
11. Shifts between 10:00 and 22:00
12. 45-hour contract
Pay & Benefits
13. £38,000 to £42,000 per year, inclusive of tronc

What you need
23. Strong background in a quality, fresh-food kitchen
24. Experience as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef
25. Strong section leadership and the confidence to run service
26. A calm, organised approach under pressure
27. High standards around prep, cleanliness, and consistency
