SEND Teaching & Care Assistant – PMLD School | Consett

We are recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching & Care Assistant to work within a specialist PMLD provision in the Consett area.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and physical disabilities to access education and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group support
• Assist with personal care and physical support requirements
• Promote independence and wellbeing
• Support communication, sensory, and educational activities
• Work collaboratively with teaching and therapy staff

Requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable
• Caring, patient, and resilient attitude
• Ability to build positive relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
