Technical Account Manager Location: Hook Salary : £40,000 – £50,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm My client who are based in Hook are seeking a Technical account manager to join their fast growing team. The Technical Account Manager is the first point of contact for sales within their international geographic region. This role provides quotations, manages enquiries from existing channels, and generates and develops leads from new channels. Key Areas of Responsibility: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, respond to inbound sales enquiries, convert them into sales, and progress them through the order cycle. Develop strong relationships with direct customers and agents, and take ownership of strategic visits, including attendance at exhibitions and conferences. Working with agents, create a robust strategy to manage performance, procedures, and agreements. Develop and agree sales strategies aligned with company objectives for assigned territories, including production of KPIs. Collaborate with Marketing to use technical expertise to articulate technology and product positioning to both non technical and technical audiences. Prepare, manage, and submit responses to tenders within stated deadlines. Provide technical sales support by answering specific product-related questions clearly and accurately. Manage and provide accurate sales order and pipeline forecasting information, including customer information (budget, requirements, authority, timeline). Assist in the development and improvement of technical resources used in the sales process. Actively maintain knowledge of the international geotechnical industry, market trends, and competitor products/activities to inform sales and marketing strategies. Proactively feed product suggestions and enhancements to the engineering team. When required, demonstrate equipment and systems to potential clients and perform support or installation visits on the standard range of equipment. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Technically capable with strong knowledge of products and systems. Ability to work autonomously to consistently achieve agreed sales targets. Good communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A team player who can work effectively across departments engaging key stakeholders. Ability to work well under pressure with a can-do attitude.
