Overview
As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You 'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the caf. With your love of working with people, your 'can-do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial. You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. Contract and hours
Contract type: Zero-hour contract. We cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours each week, but we aim to provide a consistent pattern and will give as much notice as possible when schedules change. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays, but does not require evening or split shifts. Contract duration: Fixed term until 22 June 2026. Hours/working pattern: Open 7 days a week, 364 days a year, typical shifts 10:00 to 17:30; weekend work and bank holidays will be included.
Salary
£12.25 per hour
