About the role within the team:
The purpose of this apprenticeship is to develop the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to become a fully competent Reliability Engineer at our automated site. This role supports the engineering team in maintaining the performance of highly automated machinery and systems, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Through structured training and real-world experience, the apprentice will gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to the site’s operational success.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Support maintenance, installation, and repair of automated machinery, including conveyors, packaging systems, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
* Assist in diagnosing faults in electro-mechanical systems.
* Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machinery uptime and safety.
* Collaborate with experienced engineers to troubleshoot production issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects within engineering and production teams.
* Ensure Food Safety and Health and Safety standards are met and maintained.
* Cooperate with HelloFresh on all health and safety matters, report incidents immediately, and actively raise safety concerns to your Line Manager.
* Develop basic problem-solving skills and escalate issues to the Senior Automation Engineer when necessary.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions.
* Participate in ad hoc projects as required.

* Willingness to learn through practical and academic training.
* GCSEs in Maths and English (grades 4-9 or C or above) or Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills, or equivalent qualifications, including Science or Technical subjects.

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, Part-Time, On-Site
