WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
RAMPP (Risk, Analytics, Modelling, Pricing and Processing) Team is undertaking multiple initiatives to transform Front Office Risk and Analytics and Capital platforms, and to improve software creation and delivery internally. The role requires top development skills and advocacy for better software practices and outcomes. You will be part of a large, global team, contributing to a diverse knowledge base. The goal is not just software delivery but ensuring software is testable, well-designed, resilient, and scalable.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
* Collaborate with a global team to build and maintain scalable software solutions for RBC Capital Markets Equity Derivatives
* Work closely with sales, traders, and quants to define requirements and refine code
* Anticipate and address scalability, performance, and security challenges
* Support transition to improved DevOps practices and metrics
* Build strong relationships across business units to influence and impact
* Ensure deliverables are integrated into RBC procedures
* Utilize strong programming skills in Java (17+) and Angular/React
* Possess an undergraduate degree or higher
* Have solid development experience, preferably in Capital Markets or FinTech
* Show passion for technology and large-scale software design
* Commit to high-quality, well-tested code
* Be deadline-driven, detail-oriented, results-focused, and possess strong interpersonal skills
Nice-to-have:
* Experience in Structured Products
* Experience with Risk Systems and Pricing Model Integration
* Experience in developing resilient distributed systems
