An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Medical Receiving Unit as a Band 5 Registered Nurse.
AMU is a dynamic and innovative healthcare environment which provides acute and emergency care to patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions, and also encompasses an Ambulatory Assessment Area. The post-holder will work with a range of services and healthcare professionals across the interface of acute and primary care. This post provides an opportunity to develop new knowledge and skills within a large diverse team.
Urgent Care Services, of which Acute Medicine Unit is part of, sits within the Medicine Directorate in NHS Tayside. The Acute Medicine Unit comprises of Acute Medical Assessment, Ambulatory Assessment and Short Stay Medicine.
Applicants should be committed to a progressive approach. You will be able to demonstrate that you are an effective communicator who works well within a team. You must have the ability and commitment to work as part of a team delivering high standards of patient care and continue to improve patient experience.
The flexibility to work as the situation and service requires is an essential aspect of this post. You will be expected to work a flexible pattern which includes days, nights and weekend shift rotation.
You should be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register and demonstrate extensive post registration experience within a relevant speciality.
