Position Overview
We are looking for a Materials Management Specialist to join our European Materials Management Spare Parts team. The role can be based in Barcelona (ES), Chertsey (UK), or Botlek (NL).
Reporting to the European & Africa Materials Management Manager, you will manage the provisioning & procurement of maintenance spare parts for new Air Products production plants. Your responsibilities include identifying, specifying, and procuring spare parts, executing technical project work within schedules and budgets, and ensuring spare parts availability for plant start-ups.
Key Responsibilities
* Proposal and Estimation: Collaborate on new proposals and class 2 estimates with project teams.
* Project Coordination: Attend project kick-offs, define procurement strategies.
* Vendor Management: Obtain quotations, expedite orders, resolve delivery issues, and assist with invoice queries.
* Engineering & Maintenance Collaboration: Review sparing recommendations based on plant requirements.
* SAP Management: Create and extend materials in SAP, manage requisitions, Bills of Materials, and supply chain setup.
* Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate with warehouses and shipping to manage spare parts distribution.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in SAP is essential.
* Good understanding of inventory management and Material Resource Planning (MRP).
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills for internal and external interfaces.
* Knowledge of industrial gases supply chain and operational processes.
