Groundworkers Wanted North West A leading Civil Engineering, Groundworks, and Specialist Drainage contractor is expanding its team and looking for skilled Groundworkers to support a range of projects across the North West. The Role: We are seeking experienced operatives in: Kerbing laying new kerbs, removing/realigning existing kerbs with new back and bedding. Flagging particularly in the Sefton area, lifting and relaying flags to existing levels. Tarmacking (Rake Hand) planing off defective tarmac and reinstating surface courses. General Groundworks across multiple disciplines. Typical Works Include: Resetting service boxes (BT, Gas, Water) Resetting gully frames and manhole lids Breaking out and reinstating defective kerbing/edging (including PCC installs) Tarmac planing and patching prior to kerbing remedials Plot and main sewer remedials Ducting works (street lighting, signals, illuminated signage) Customer care works (block paving, flagging, tarmacking, manhole works) Use of stihl saws, whacker plates, breakers, and similar tools What Were Looking For: CPCS/NPORS-compliant machine operatives (excavator, roller, dumper) CSCS card and relevant trade qualifications Experience in manhole remedials to Sewers NRSWA accreditation (for S278 works) Strong general groundworks knowledge Future Opportunities: Gangs with proven experience in dig downs on mains sewers and a solid understanding of Roads and Sewers (R&S) will also be required for upcoming projects.
