Reporting to the IT Services Manager, this post part of the IT Management team and is critical in the delivery of effective and efficient IT Services. As Technology Solutions Manager your challenge will be to provide leadership and management to a diverse technology team providing support and development of the Council's ICT infrastructure.

This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the strategic future of IT Service technical platforms and the delivery within West Lothian Council.
\n
IT Services structure is based on ITlLv3 and you must have a comprehensive understanding, knowledge and experience of good practice. Applicants will have extensive experience in IT with proven management experience in the provision of effective and efficient 3rd line technical support including servers, networking, cyber security, IP telephony and development services. Applicants will also have experience dealing with Freedom of Information requests, Data Protection Legislation, IT Business Continuity and the development of technical strategies.

The post holder will work with Heads of Service, Depute Chief Executives, senior managers, service/project managers, IT staff and suppliers on a regular basis, taking into account their needs and balancing this with the needs of the council.
