Job overview
To assess, plan, and evaluate evidenced based nursing care for the critically ill patient, under the supervision of a senior nurse. Act as a role model for other team members and provide specialist knowledge within critical care. You will work as part of a team supporting and developing colleagues by mentoring and assessing their skills.

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.
Main duties of the job

5. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge, recognising and working within the limits of your competence.
6. Take every opportunity to continue to maintain and develop your own practice.
7. Facilitate students and others to develop their competence through supervision, teaching and role modelling.
8. Protects patient confidentiality and acts according to the Data Protection Act

23. Previous experience of work in an acute NHS hospital setting
