Starting salary for this role is £34,434 (pro rata for part-time colleagues). The role sits within a well defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career at BCP. All new starters begin at the entry point of the band, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organisation. Internal colleagues are normally appointed at the bottom of the band, unless moving within the same profession and skill level, in which case they can be appointed to the existing pay point.

About the Role
The Intensive Housing Management team is responsible for managing all aspects of BCP Council's temporary accommodation portfolio. Placements include B&B, houses in multiple occupation (HMOs), family hostels and self-contained properties in the council and private rented sectors.
This role will deliver bespoke and challenging housing management solutions to customers who currently benefit from BCP Council’s homelessness services. It requires working collaboratively with BCP Council’s housing partners to support customers recovering from homelessness to achieve positive outcomes. The post focuses on providing safe, well managed property for individuals with complex needs, positively impacting individuals, neighbours and local communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Resolve housing management issues, maximising use of each property through effective voids management.
* Oversee contracted services and effectively deal with anti-social behaviour.
* Identify and support vulnerabilities.
* Work as part of a multi-agency team with agencies such as Dorset Police, NHS and commissioned support providers.
* Actively contribute to the Strategic Housing team’s objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience of working in a housing related setting, dealing with complex and challenging issues.
* Fluent in English – essential for full employment (Part 7 Immigration Act 2016).
* Existing right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship.
* Disposal of a suitable Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check.
