As the Health, Safety & Environmental Officer, you’ll take ownership of HSE initiatives, ensuring compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement. Working closely with managers and operational teams, you’ll embed safe working practices, promote a strong safety culture, and help develop sustainable environmental processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support HSE initiatives and campaigns across the site
* Review and develop risk assessments, safe systems of work, and training programmes
* Promote a positive safety culture through proactive engagement and communication
* Monitor compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures
* Support continuous improvement through audits, reporting, and action plans
About You
* Experience: Around 2–3 years in a Health, Safety & Environmental role, ideally within manufacturing, recycling, or an industrial setting
* Qualifications: Holds or is working towards a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent HSE qualification)
* Mindset: Proactive, curious, and confident to challenge the norm to drive improvement
