About The Role
BYD UK is seeking a proactive and experienced ER & Compliance Partner.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations (ER):
* Provide guidance to managers on handling employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management).
* Support workplace investigations, ensuring fair process and proper documentation.
* Advise on conflict resolution, mediation, and employee engagement strategies.
* Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the business.
Compliance & System Building:
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of an ER & Compliance framework, including policies, processes, and reporting mechanisms.
* Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
* Partner with Legal and HR to update and implement compliance policies and procedures.
* Support audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
* Deliver training to managers and employees on compliance, ethics, and workplace conduct.
Collaboration & Projects:
* Partner with HR Business Partners and line managers to build a positive and compliant workplace culture.
* Contribute to policy design and process improvement.
* Drive initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
* Solid experience in HR/ER with exposure to compliance or legal frameworks.
* Proven experience in building or setting up ER & Compliance systems/frameworks is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and integrity.
* Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
