We're hiring TWO Engineering Apprentice for our CANNINGTON site.
The successful candidates will join Yeo Valley in July/August and start at Bridgwater college from September 2026.
As an Engineering Apprentice at Yeo Valley, you'll be working as part of a busy, dynamic Engineering team in a distinctive, ambitious and trusted manufacturing company that is committed to making great British dairy & organic products.
What can I expect?
Our Engineering apprentices study the OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance over 3.5 years.
First Year: you will spend block periods during term time at Bridgwater college and the rest of the time will be on site, embedding into the business and gaining practical skills.
Second and Third Year: you will spend three or four days per week on site receiving in-house training and one or two days per week at college (dependent on timetable).
Following completion of the Level 3 modules you will complete a twelve-week, End Point Assessment with an external verifier.
Hours during the apprenticeship: 40 per week, Monday – Friday with some flexibility required in the final year.
Pay during the apprenticeship is dependent on your age as below:

21 and over £12.71
18-20 Years £10.85
16-17 Years £8.00
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
1. Under 19 years - A minimum of 4 GCSE’s with Grade 4 or higher in Maths and English.
2. Over 19 Years – You will be required to meet the essential Maths & English level for the apprenticeship.
3. Good communication skills Commitment and willingness to progress within the business.
4. Relevant experience and previous study will also be taken into consideration
5. A genuine interest in Engineering
