Ascot racecourse is renowned as the home of racing and hosts 26 race days each year including the famous Royal Ascot plus many corporate events. We are looking for smart, reliable Event Stewards with good communication skills to help us provide a professional, efficient and safe service for our client at the racecourse. Working at the racecourse is a fun and lively affair with a variety of interesting roles and we are looking to build our team to support race day operations. As a Steward at Ascot, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Your duties will include: Providing excellent customer service to racegoers. Assisting with crowd management and event security Giving directions and ensuring a smooth flow of attendees. Supporting the team with any safety or emergency procedures. Upon review of your application, you will be invited to attend an assessment session. If successful you will be invited to further training and onboarding to the Carlisle Support Services team. Is this you? Completed school age education or training. SIA License Required – Must hold a valid Door Supervisor License. Reliable, punctual, flexible and smart in appearance. Friendly, approachable and always professional. Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job. Ideally previous experience in an events environment or customer service role. Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner. NVQ2 in Spectator Safety or willingness to work towards the qualification (desirable). Willing to work at other Carlisle Events venues across the region. Successful candidates will need to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, birth certificate or a valid share code.
