We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Hatfield. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on heavy goods vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance on HGVs, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Use power tools to fabricate, weld, solder, assemble, and maintain vehicle parts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair vehicle issues efficiently
- Proficiency in using power tools for fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with clients
