No experience, don't worry, full training will be provided As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to vulnerable people living in their own homes. Provincial Care Services aim to provide Domiciliary Care to vulnerable people living at home of any age, gender, sexual orientation, religious or cultural origins, irrespective of race or disability and to give practical support to carers. You will work as part of a supportive team dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives. ROLE: To work under the direction of Area Manager, participating in the team and assisting with the personal care and other tasks as necessary to Service Users in the community, taking appropriate responsibility for certain tasks as allocated. The job requires high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and the ability to work on one's own in the Service Users house, co-operating with Service User and / or relatives as necessary. Care Assistants must maintain the highest standards of care at all times. Full Driving Licence and Access to Vehicle A valid UK/NI driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle suitable for work purposes (required for travelling between service users). Communication Skills Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written) to ensure clear understanding with service users, families, and professionals. Caring and Compassionate Nature Demonstrated empathy, patience, and reliability in caring for vulnerable individuals. Availability for Flexible Working Hours Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rota. Willingness to Undergo Enhanced AccessNI Check Appointment subject to satisfactory enhanced disclosure through AccessNI. Commitment to Training Willing to complete mandatory induction training (e.g. Manual Handling, Infection Control, Safeguarding, First Aid, etc.). Desirable Criteria: Previous Experience in Care Setting Experience providing personal care or support in a domiciliary, residential, or nursing environment. Relevant Qualifications NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent. Knowledge of Relevant Legislation Awareness of safeguarding protocols, GDPR, and Health & Safety regulations in a care context. Knowledge of Local Area Familiarity with the local community or region, aiding with travel and rapport-building with clients. Experience Working with Specific Client Groups Such as elderly people, individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, or physical impairments. Use of Technology Confidence using digital care systems or mobile apps for logging visits and care notes (if required).
