Job Summary:
The Accessibility Coordinator will support Bucknell University's compliance functions and the Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR) mission to ensure the provision of reasonable academic accommodations and support for students with disabilities, including but not limited to learning, psychiatric, sensory, and physical disabilities. This position will provide oversight of the OAR testing center and collaborate with OAR staff to review and provide determinations on student accommodation requests (academic, housing, dining and parking) and serve the University through compliance initiatives.

What you Will Do:
* Provides leadership and administration of the OAR Testing Center to deliver and support in the determination and provision of testing accommodations. Ensures a high level of communication with faculty and staff regarding Testing Center policy and procedures. Particular attention will be given to the maintenance of an equitable testing environment through the development of feedback opportunities for faculty and students and the prompt resolution of issues presented in the use of the OAR Testing Center.
* Evaluates student documentation to determine eligibility for accommodation, providing direct support and advocacy on academic policies and available resources providing direct support and advocacy on navigating academic policies. Coordinates and implements accommodations like classroom modifications, assistive technology and ASL interpreters.
* Manages student access and utilization of accessible technologies providing comprehensive support, training, and technical assistance. Assists with the selection and implementation of assistive technology.
* Ensures strict compliance with ADA and Section 504 accessibility requirements across campus. This involves serving as a primary liaison among students, faculty, staff, and external agencies to facilitate effective service delivery. Maintains accurate and confidential records of student accessibility issues and accommodations, develops and delivers training and educational materials on disability awareness and best practices.
* Acts as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students with disabilities. Partners with other departments on campus to advance accessibility initiatives. Engages with community organizations that support disabled populations.

What You Will Bring:
Required:
* High School Diploma
* One (1) or more years of experience working with people with disabilities, assistive technology, review medical documentation or related experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of FERPA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and ADA (as amended) laws.
* Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, internet, email and calendar software.
* Proven ability to effectively communicate, develop and maintain interpersonal relationships.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy related to protected student information.
Preferred, but no required:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience with proctoring exams.
* Experience with the provision of accommodations for students with disabilities in a education setting.
* Experience in pos-secondary environment.
* Experience working with various assistive software and hardware.
* Experience applying the law guiding the provision of accommodations in an academic environment.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
