An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Design Engineer to join a global engineering business at the forefront of clean mobility technology. This role focuses on the design and development of diesel high-pressure fuel pumps, with hands-on involvement from concept to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop high-pressure diesel fuel injection components
* Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
* Use DFMEA and design analysis tools to ensure product robustness
* Interpret simulation and test data to propose design improvements
* Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams across the product lifecycle
* Support design reviews and prototype development
Ideal Background
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* 5-10 years in a design or product development role
* Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, and precision engineering
* Proficient with SolidWorks CAD
* Clear communicator and confident collaborator across all levels
* Detail-driven and passionate about high-accuracy design work
