Industrial 2 Farm Staff - Crossnacreevy - Plant Testing Station
Location: Crossnacreevy
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £26, 449 per annum

Job Role
Working on the AFBI Crossnacreevy research farm which specializes in trials of wheat, barley oats and grasses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sowing cereal and grass plots
2. Preparing ground for sowing (ploughing, power harrowing, rolling)
3. Spraying of plots, burn lines and interrow spraying
4. Hedge cutting in field and onsite
5. General yard maintenance (power washing, edging grass, strimming, tidying sheds)
6. General machinery maintenance (servicing, changing wearing metal, greasing, preparation for winter housing)
7. Cutting surrounds/pathway grass with industrial mower/flail mower
8. Working with scientific teams on various projects to complete essential research work
9. This list is not exhaustive and can be added to during the role
10. During busy periods staff may be required to stay late to complete project work
Essential Criteria
11. 2 GCSE's including english language and maths (grades A*-C) or equivalent
AND
12. A minimum of 6 demonstrable months relevant experience
AND
13. A driving license
