Main Responsibilities/Main Tasks
* Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insights to support business performance.
* Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial integrity.
* Manage the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
* Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and other key journals.
* Coordinate the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
* Support statutory reporting and year-end audit processes.
* Ensure compliance with VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales reporting requirements.
* Provide financial guidance and support for department managers and senior leadership.
* Supervise and mentor the Assistant Management Accountant.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems (e.g., SAP).
* Support purchase ledger and sales ledger functions as needed.
* Carry out any other duties commensurate with the grading of the post as may be directed by the line manager.
