Environmental Specialist
Location: Lisburn
Contract: 9 Month Fixed Term
*This role is dayshift Monday – Friday, flexibility required depending on business requirements
Role Objective:
The Environmental Specialist (Secondment) will support the Environment Manager/ QSE team in delivering Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottler Company’s environmental commitments, focusing on water stewardship, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role offers hands-on experience in environmental management within a global beverage manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Support implementation of environmental management systems (EMS) aligned with ISO 14001 standards.
2. Assist in monitoring water usage, wastewater discharge, and energy consumption across plant operations.
3. Conduct environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting (monthly and quarterly KPIs).
4. Participate in sustainability projects such as water replenishment, recycling initiatives, and carbon reduction programs.
5. Assist with environmental audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
6. Support waste reduction and circular economy initiatives, including packaging sustainability projects.
7. Contribute to environmental awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities.
8. Liaise with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve environmental performance

Essential Criteria
9. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
10. 0–2 years’ experience (including internships or graduate programs).
11. Knowledge of environmental legislation and ISO 14001 is advantageous.
12. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
14. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
