Electro-Mechanical TechnicianHalifax£15.77 per hour 38 hours per week | Monday-Friday (12:30 finish Friday)Our engineering client based in Halifax is looking to recruit a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to work in a high-quality manufacturing environment building and calibrating precision instruments and equipment.As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing and calibrating products to ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved. The Electro-Mechanical Technician will work closely with internal departments to support production, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities
* Build and assemble mechanical and electrical components to produce high-quality instruments.
* Calibrate equipment and ensure all products meet strict quality standards and procedures.
* Follow ISO quality processes and ensure measurement equipment is used correctly.
* Complete documentation including quality plans, NCRs and system updates accurately.
* Install and verify correct software revisions where required.
* Work collaboratively with operations, planning, distribution and service teams.
* Support continuous improvement activities within the department.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping, health and safety, and working practices.
* Assist with stock control processes and accurate system bookings.
The CandidateThe successful Electro-Mechanical Technician will ideally have:
* Apprentice training (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* HNC level qualification or equivalent engineering experience.
* Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical assembly skills.
* Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work independently or as part of a team.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
