Are you an experienced ASC SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? Are you open to giving personal care when required to primary and secondary aged children?
We are currently supporting an SEN organisation in Macclesfield who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, empathetic and reliable ASC SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The role will start as soon as possible, it will be full time and will be for the rest of the academic year. You will be supporting pupils with ASC and there may be times where you will be required to provide personal care. There could be times where the pupils may display some behavioural difficulties. You will also be providing support to students in small groups and working closely with the class teacher.
The team at this organisation are dedicated to continuously working closely with parents and carers to provide the best possible outcome for each child. Offering various enrichment activities which in turn encourages pupils to progress through the various aspects of the curriculum.

8. Minimum rate of pay – £75 – £100
9. Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
10. Previous experience providing personal care with young people (desirable)
11. Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
12. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, but we can provide training)
13. Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, but we can provide training)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application
16. Provide two professional child related references
17. Experience supporting young people with special educational needs, specifically Autism (ASD/ASC)
18. Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a UK school or other related experience.
19. A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
