The Role As the Material Planning and Inventory Manager, you will: Align demand planning with manufacturing, marketing, and material planning to meet customer requirements. Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate demand forecasts and production schedules. Resolve conflicts between supply constraints and customer expectations through proactive planning. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance, reduce errors, and increase efficiency. Lead change management initiatives for new systems and procedures. Define and maintain optimal inventory levels in collaboration with supply chain and finance teams. Monitor inventory health using KPIs and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. Improve forecast accuracy by analysing data and market trends to minimise excess and obsolete inventory. The Person To excel in this role, you will have: Proven experience in material planning and inventory management within the manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of supply chain components and their impact on operations. Experience in resolving obstacles to meet production schedules and removing material flow barriers. Tactical and strategic planning skills to adapt to changing demands and supply constraints. Expertise in identifying bottlenecks in the material planning cycle and implementing solutions. Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Experience managing a team of supply chain professionals.
