Operations Technician
Reports to: Head of Operations
Working Arrangement: up to 12 months FTC
Overall Objectives of Role:
Provide proactive and professional support for the Underwriting Team in line with business objectives and support for the wider Technical Operations Team. Managing Premiums and striving to keep our Underwriting system as accurate as possible.
Main Responsibilities:
* Understand and interpret a range of policy documents, primarily Closings but also Slips and Endorsements, to verify and confirm insurance premiums.
* Identify, analyse and investigate differences in premiums and take appropriate actions to resolve queries.
* Use appropriate tools to assist analysis of complex risks and multiple documents, especially Excel.
* Communicate clearly and appropriately with stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, credit control and processing teams.
* Send policy documentation and instructions to external processing team and liaise on any queries arising internally and externally.
* Chase missing Closings in a timely manner, escalating to and involving others in line with agreed processes.
* Maintain accurate and up to date records tracking the receipt and processing of Closings and other documentation, managing workloads and priorities and contributing to the efficiency of the team, meeting targets, etc.
* Assist with weekly reporting of workflow and achievements against set targets.
* General administration tasks including filing of underwriting documents, managing shared mailboxes, etc., contributing to the efficiency of the team and the business.
System Experience:
* Eclipse Underwriting System (Desired)
* Intermediate – Advanced Excel Skills

* Minimum 2 years’ exposure and experience of London Market principles and practices
