The role of Customer Communication Officer (Fire)
You will lead communication efforts with colleagues and customers on behalf of the Building Safety Department, focusing on requirements under the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations. Responsibilities include developing communication strategies, managing proactive and reactive communications regarding fire safety inspections, and supporting corporate communication campaigns.
About you
* Knowledge of communication channels and methodologies to deliver proactive and reactive communications.
* Experience working within building safety, particularly in the housing industry.
* Proven ability to produce internal communications and briefings effectively.
* Strong letter writing skills, capable of tailoring messages to different audiences.
* Experience in demanding, fast-paced environments.

Role Responsibilities
* Lead on communication regarding building safety regulations and inspections.
* Review and translate safety information for customers, supporting communication efforts after fire safety inspections.
* Participate in events and support customer engagement initiatives.
* Identify trends from customer queries to improve services.
* Support internal and external communication activities, including campaigns and literature development.
* Manage communication channels to ensure message effectiveness.
* Build relationships with stakeholders and support staff communications.
* Assist with content updates on internal platforms and manage mailing communications.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and data management policies.
* Escalate serious incidents as per policy.
