Job Title: Finance Director
Location : Oxfordshire, hybrid working
Permanent Salary : £110,000 plus bonus and benefits
A growing organisation is seeking a Finance Director to lead its finance function in Oxfordshire.
You will guide financial performance, support strategic direction, and protect long term value.
You will lead a mid-sized team and take full responsibility for financial control and commercial insight.
Key responsibilities
Strategic leadership
• Convert business objectives into clear financial plans and targets
• Work closely with the Managing Director and senior team on priorities and direction
• Deliver clear financial insight to support key decisions
• Lead finance input on investment, acquisitions, and structural change
Financial performance and governance
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long term planning
• Track performance against plan and explain variances
• Maintain strong controls, compliance, and risk management
• Drive cost control, efficiency, and profit improvement
Commercial support
• Provide guidance on pricing, investment, and cost management
• Spot risks early and take practical action
• Support new initiatives, growth activity, and business cases
• Partner with operational and group stakeholders to improve results
Candidate profile
• Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a commercial setting
• Strong track record of improving results and influencing senior leaders
• Commercial mindset with sound judgement
• Comfortable managing change and competing demands
• Clear and confident communicator with strong presence
• Experience in infrastructure or asset heavy sectors is beneficial
• Full UK driving licence required
