Detailed job description and main responsibilities Synnovis is a 15 year pathology services partnership between SYNLAB UK&I, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust that was formed in 2021 to serve almost 2 million patients, and 191 GP practices across 249 sites. It is currently delivering one of the largest NHS pathology transformation programmes in the UK to date, including the development of a cutting-edge, 10 floor laboratory hub in Blackfriars, London. The SYNLAB and Synnovis corporate function operates from the 8th floor of the hub which less than a 5 minute walk from Southwark Tube or Blackfriars station and nestled closely to a vast array of entertainment and fabulous places to dine, relax and meet people. By joining Synnovis you become part of SYNLAB UK&I which provides laboratory, diagnostic and advisory services to a range of sectors across UK & Ireland, including healthcare and wellness, sport, travel and insurance. Working as part of SYNLAB’s dynamic communications team, this newly created role will focus on growing engagement and relationships with our service users across primary care, secondary care, and third-party partners. From general news and operational updates to clinical incidents, service disruptions, industrial action, and Business Continuity Planning, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering clear, timely, and impactful communications. You’ll also support knowledge sharing from Subject Matter Experts, helping to build trust and engagement across our network. As Communications Manager, you’ll take ownership of editorial oversight, message strategy, and content creation across a range of channels, including clinical alerts, e-newsletters, vlogs, websites, practice visits, hub tours, CPD seminars (virtual and in-person), and Trust intranets.
